Trying to Stay Awake

I have yet another reason to really need a notebook computer. I would love to not have to take one of my classes on campus this semester, but still be able to get from it what I need to get. My professor is uber-boring, but oh-so smart. I wish that she would figure out a way to make learning what I need to know a lot more interesting.

Sadly, I was forced to ingest ungodly amounts of caffeine again– just to stay awake for class. She’s pretty organized– in that she reads off of note cards through the entire lecture– but somehow still manages to jump all over the place. She keeps telling us what we’re going to be talking about in class while not actually talking about anything. It’s a little frustrating (and tiring).

The good news is that this class only lasts until May. Then I’m done with it. Hopefully I’ll not have to sit through another lecture with this fine woman during my collegiate career. I might not make it to graduation if I do. By that I mean I may just sleep right through it. Wouldn’t that just be a killer?

At any rate, it’s getting close to refund time (whee!!) and that means I can actually look at notebooks again. Perhaps even buy one this time. I’m excited. I’ll even get one of those ones that have the special screen so people can’t look at the reflection in my glasses to see what I’m looking at. Because it really sucks when you get caught chatting while you’re supposed to be listening to lecture. But how else was I supposed to stay awake. I can always sit out in the hall and participate without actually doing any of the participating. And maybe that guy snoring in the back of the room won’t bother me so much (mostly because I’m jealous that I can’t join him in Dreamland).

This is going to be an interesting semester.
