Wow

The election is coming up and the people in our town are SWAMPING with people voting early. I hope that everyone has an up-to-date passport because someone’s going to win and the supporters of the other person are going to flip their lids.

It’s been fun watching this election if only because so many people have become involved. I remember when there was maybe 30% turnout- and that was huge. Now, we’re looking at a much higher number of people showing up at the polls, new voters registering, millions volunteering their time for their favorite candidate. It’s an awesome time, no matter who you support.

I think the kids who are seeing their parents become so involved will be the real winners. When they’re adults and ready to take over the lead in American politics we’ll be overflowing with people interested in what’s happening in this country and around the world. Too many people have become apathetic and let go of the control. Now they’re taking it back and these kids are going to see that it is US that pulls the strings in our government.

I love it. Anyway it turns out is still good- in a way- for us all. Things are going to go uphill again. I can’t wait.
