Uh-Oh, YouTube Problems
There’s a rumor going around that YouTube is down. Apparently it’s down all over the world and people are freaking out.
I’m in Ohio and was able to access it directly, so I don’t know what’s up with that.
Someone in the comments of the post linked above mentions that you can get there directly via the IP address:
Youtube isn’t down, the DNS server is broken. If you connect directly to youtube’s IP, http://208.65.153.251
It is clearly still up. Next time, do some basic research before you write a news “article” about the internet. Networkworld indeed.
Is it the end of the world? Maybe for some people. YouTube video surfing does take up a lot of time if you’ve got nothing better to do. Me? I’ll be working on getting my hands on some vegan shoes and showing my kid that cow skin isn’t necessarily the best material for cute shoes.
