‘Twas a Good Thanksgiving

Well, today is probably a good day to start using alli– especially after the food I ate yesterday. Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. This year I avoided all family and went to my friend’s house. She had a huge spread and I ate a little bit of everything.

After dinner, we all sat around and acted like fools. We laughed and laughed and had a great time. It’s never like that when we go around to our various family functions. My family isn’t very fun and visits don’t really include lots of laughter. And his family is so uptight that the minute the first person is done eating someone starts to collect plates and clean up the mess. Beh. It’s never fun and we never look forward to it. This year was different. And we’ve decided that next year we’re going to do the same thing. We can see our families every other day of the year. On Thanksgiving we’re going to spend time having fun and making good memories. Isn’t that what holidays are supposed to be about anyway? I’m pretty sure they are.

So, now I have to take an extra long walk to get off some of these pounds I’m very sure that I’ve acquired since yesterday. I’ve lost a lot of weight lately and I really don’t want to put it back on. My jeans are all getting too big and I love it. Seriously, I need to walk and walk and walk and maybe even do a little dance. Might as well get on that now.
