Tom Pelphrey Coming Back- Again
I heard a rumor the other day. I heard that Tom Pelphrey is coming back- again- to Guiding Light. This is thrilling to me. I haven’t had a lot of time to watch t.v. much lately because of various things going on, but I will definitely set the record for GL if “Jonathon” is coming back. Tom had just enough edge to make that character come off just right.
According to the article, “Jonathon Randall” will be coming back to Springfield with his new love (possibly) and Sarah. I’m anxious to see if this pans out and if it does what will be Lizzie’s role. Right now they have her chasing after Bill Lewis and I just don’t like that. I would really hate to see Lizzie, who has so reformed since she saw her daughter die, go back to being a lying, manipulative little twit.
Speaking of… Where’s her mother been anyway? Shouldn’t Beth be having that baby soon? Honestly, if she’d been a character on Days of Our Lives she’d have had 20 kids by now. A pregnancy that actually takes 9 months? Almost unheard of!
Where was I? Oh yes. I’m absolutely giddy that Tom is coming back to GL as Jonathon. He was actually the reason I started watching it again after all those years (like 20). He’s got some really sweet chemistry with Kim Zimmer (Reva Shane) and will really knock the socks off the otherwise boring storylines. I can’t wait to see him again.
As far as I know, so far Stephanie Gatchet (his beloved Tammy) isn’t set to come back. She died on-screen in a really touching moment with Jonathon and her mother. Of course, we’re talking about daytime drama here. No one really stays dead. Right?
Look at John Black from Days of Our Lives. He died in the hospital with Marlena by his side, and now Stefano (who’s died more times than I can count) has somehow brought the man back from the dead. HUH?
I love suspending my reality. But only for good storylines.
