Stubborn
My mother was under my sister’s insurance for a while (long story). Sadly, my mother once again “bumped” a car in front of her. Now my sister says she has to get her own. We’ve been looking for some cheap auto insurance for her and it’s really turning into a chore.
My mother, bless her soul, is very particular. She’s also very stubborn. This means that she doesn’t want to do the shopping and anything I choose for her is just not good enough. I liken her to Marie from “Everybody Loves Raymond” in that way. She wants us to be good children, but at times makes it very difficult.
Grump says there is no way we’re putting her on our insurance. She is almost blind in one eye and refuses to see a doctor about it. And she gets a little distracted- very easily. Grump’s credit rating is a-one and there’s no way he’s going to mess it up with her. So I’m thinking I’ll just sign her up with something online and let the chips fall where they may. She has to have something and if she doesn’t want to get her eyeglass prescription updated, she’ll have to do with what we can find. After all, if she gets caught without it she’ll lose her license and then she won’t be able to work and then…well, you know where I’m going with this. My mother doesn’t want to hear any of that so it’s up to my sister and I to do something.
