Relevant? Really?
I’ve been working really hard lately (school, parenting, work) and am quickly running out of energy. Someone mentioned to me that fat burners are a really good way to get more energy as well as lose weight. So I was wondering are those types of supplements no more than high-octane caffeine? Will they make my heart go crazy? How does that work with my FM?
I decided to do some research. I typed in my keywords (Yahoo! and Google) and looked at the results. Then I got annoyed.
Google especially likes to claim that they’re all about keeping their search results real/pure/clean/spam-free. This is the reason they give for taking away PageRank for so many blogs. They want people who are searching for real information to get relevant information. They used an example of a paid blogger doing a post about brain tumors to illustrate their point. They are thinking of the general public and their health! Really?
If I want to find relevant information relating to Fibromyalgia and fat burners I’d have to trudge through pages of information to find what I’m looking for. I’d have to look at multiple made-for-adsense sites. I might not even find what I’m looking for or be stuck with erroneous and irrelevant results. I like to think that I’m pretty good at finding what I’m looking for when doing searches, but it’s getting to the point where that doesn’t even matter. There’s too much spam getting in the way of the good stuff.
I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow and call my doctor. Hopefully he won’t have to use Google to find the information I need.
