Lohan’s Career Faltering?
Lindsay Lohan isn’t far past the age of using lots of acne care products. We watched her grow up through Disney productions, but something happened along the way. Like Britney Spears before her, Miss Lohan proved that she is indeed a flawed human being and that maybe, just maybe, life in the spotlight will take a harsh toll on an otherwise perfectly normal young woman. She didn’t really stand a chance.
The New York Daily News has declared Lohan’s career on “life support“. They say:
Now many believe the “Ugly Betty” brouhaha could be the nail in Lohan’s career coffin.
“It’s over for Lindsay,” one insider told MSNBC. “She’s got no film work, and after this ['Ugly Betty' news], she’s not going to land TV jobs. I hear she’s even tried to get on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and can’t.”
Not even “DWTS”? Ouch.
I’m not a big fan of Lohan, but feel bad for her. Mostly because she’s a child star gone sour from the reports. And that’s not atypical. She’s going down the same road many other child stars went before her. When she shows up on a reality television program (”Surreal Life” anyone?) then I’ll know for sure she’s hit the bottom and she’s washed up.
I just hope she doesn’t follow Flava Flav and Brett Michaels looking for love from a pool of desperate contestants (I’m pretty sure those two are in it just for a little something else). She’s surely better than that still. If we do see her on a music channel going through a list of possible romantic interests, we can really write her off. Until then keep your fingers crossed that somehow she manages to find her way.
