“Jericho” Canceled- Again
Looks like “Jericho” is officially dust after this week’s episode.
The show failed to increase its audience and will air its final episode Tuesday, the network said Friday.
“Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more,” CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said in a statement. “We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try.”
What’s going unsaid is :”Now we’ve got a decent time-slot open for yet another “reality” program or game show. W00t!”
Give me a break. The show was bringing in viewers, just not as many as “ER” did in it’s hey-dey. CBS doesn’t need another reality show (too much “Survivor” for me, thanks) or another crime show. But they don’t realize that because OMG! so many people are tuning into cable and/or watching programming online. Gee, I wonder why. Couldn’t possibly be because people are sick to death of watching the crap they’re throwing at us.
“Jericho” reruns were just picked up by Sci-Fi, so I’m hoping they’ll take over production too. Keep your fingers crossed, Jericho fans.

Looks like there are talks brewing to bring “Jericho” to Sci-Fi. Nice.
