Is She or Isn’t She

Have you found yourself flinging chairs, tables and/or couches while trying to deal with the insanity that is the Clinton Primary Campaign? Well, you’re not alone. It seems to be a huge crisis among Democratic Americans who just want this drama to stop. You may want to hit up the furniture stores to find a nice dinette table to replace the one you’ve thrown through the kitchen window. But hold off on a new couch. It looks like Clinton may not have to hold her breath concede to Obama afterall. He may have already gotten enough delegates to make that particular point moot.

Barack Obama has effectively clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, based on an Associated Press tally of convention delegates.

The tally put Obama over the top Tuesday, ahead of the results from the day’s final primaries in Montana and South Dakota. The Illinois senator becomes the first black candidate ever to lead his party into a fall campaign for the White House. Obama outlasted former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton in a historic contest and now faces Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona for the presidency.

Yay! Except well:

“In her speech [Tuesday] night, she will convey the message that first and foremost she is committed to Democrats winning in November and will do whatever she’s asked to do,” the Clinton adviser said.

“She will do whatever it takes to bring the party together to win and whatever is asked of her to make sure the Republicans are defeated,” the adviser added.

Even though she discussed being Obama’s running mate, her campaign chairman earlier in the day said Clinton was “absolutely not” prepared to concede the race after the polls close tonight in Montana and South Dakota, the final two contests on the primary calendar.

Terry McAuliffe rejected as “100 percent” incorrect an Associated Press report that Clinton is preparing to acknowledge Obama has the delegates to win the nomination Tuesday night as the five-month Democratic primary process comes to a close.

Obama “doesn’t have the numbers today, and until someone has the numbers the race goes on,” McAuliffe told CNN.

Clinton continues to fight Obama in the Democratic primary season. Some 61 contests over five months will end Tuesday as Montana and South Dakota hold primaries.

Still stamping her feet a little, I guess. Who can blame her? It was so close and yet so far away. Now she’s got to bring her flying monkey brigade supporters to heel so that the Democrats will have a fighting chance in November. Despite what her supports feel about Obama’s treatment of Clinton, he had this to say about the Senator from New York:

“Sen. Clinton is an outstanding public servant, she has worked tirelessly on this campaign, she has been a great senator for the state of New York and she is going to be a great asset when we go into November to make sure that we defeat the Republicans,”

Well, the nerve of some people! Can you believe that guy? *snort*

Thankfully this all seems to be coming to a close. Even Taylor Marsh is claiming (in her MSNBC interview) to be ready to help Obama get into the White House in November. Of course, her flying monkey brigade readers won’t have any of that nonsense. They’re going to show that damned Obama what’s what! They’re not done stomping their feet. They’re plans are to help McCain win no matter what.

My thoughts there? That’s what they wanted from the get. I have no doubts that Operation CHAOS was in full effect on Marsh’s site. And Marsh will really back anyone that will garner her hits. She’s not particular as far as that goes. Of course, she wants Clinton to be VP or that’s it she’s DONE. Or whatever. I’d like to note, too, that Taylor’s claims that her verbal spew post after the Rules and Bylaws committee meeting was not directed at McCain, as she claimed on MSNBC. No, Taylor was pissed that her side lost (though they were lucky to be awarded any votes considering the rules of the contest, but I digress). So she brought the wrath down and let the world know that THERE WOULD BE CONSEQUENCES for that particular injustice.

You have no idea what you’ve done. The fury you have unleashed. Your arrogance is topped only by your ignorance and the sheer stupidity of this “compromise,” which sends a message that you just don’t get it. Oh, and by the way, you’ve also likely just thrown the 2008 election.

It’s unclear, however, what exactly those consequences are going to be at this time.

Stay tuned for more imploding heads as TalkLeft, Hillaryis44 and No Quarter realize that their shipped has indeed sailed.
