In Search of Friends
I’ve been doing a lot of work lately and really trying to network to get my name out. What is it about networking? Gah! I wish I could take one of those business-type cruises so I could network and have fun too. And maybe watch for dolphins (totally business related). Anyway, I’ve joined up with Twitter (follow me here) and tried out EntreCard and BloggingZoom. EntreCard and BloggingZoom are good services if you want to network with marketing types primarily, but I’ve come to the conclusion that’s not really my bag. I have, sadly, been jaded.
I do really enjoy the atmosphere on Twitter. It’s a lot more laid back and I’m introduced to many more interesting personalities. Hopefully I’ll find some nice business contacts along the way. But watching how everyone interacts (without constantly shoving their own content down everyone’s throat) is a whole new thing that I haven’t seen online in a long time. You might see me more there than any of the other social venues.
On an even better note, I received an offer to prescreen an upcoming A&E miniseries. I’m extremely excited about that. I can’t wait to work on that project. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
