I love Fall
I love fall. All of the trees are turning colors up here in Ohio and it’s just gorgeous. Our yard has so many different colors- red, green, yellow, orange- and I’m loathe to rake any of the leaves up (at least until they turn brown). We have a couple of Maples, some Mulberry trees, a Cherry, and (I think) three Oaks. So, my yard is unbelievably colorful right now. It’s such a beautiful time of year.
I like to take walks in the early evening this time of year. Most people in my town don’t rake all of their leaves up (mostly because it’s basically impossible) so I get to walk through them as I travel around town. The rustling sound they make really relaxes me for some reason. Occasionally someone will burn their leaves and I really enjoy that smell. Then, of course, there’s that ever so slight chill in the air that makes me want to grab a cup of cider to warm myself. Everything about fall, including the cool nights, just cheers me. It’s when we start getting into December that I start getting grouchy.
When the snow covers the leaves I want to move south. I hate winter. Fall doesn’t last nearly long enough for me.
