Hunting For a New Laptop
I’ve decided that it’s time. I can’t wait any longer. I have to do this. By “this” I clearly mean “Buy a new laptop.” There’s just no getting around it anymore. Life dictates that I be able to take my work wherever I go- including the hospital, school or out in the yard. So, I commenced shopping and found some awesome clearance deals at Buy.com. There are two really great things about this particular notebook. One is that it comes with XP Pro so I don’t have to fight with Vista (I’ve been avoiding that, really). I’m attached to XP and, right now, don’t have the time to learn a completely new OS.
And the second is the Buy.com price: $399.99. I’m not rich and can’t pay thousands of dollars for a brand new laptop. I won’t even go into why I don’t trust the sellers on eBay for the used ones. Who really wants a used one anyway? I haven’t learned the ins-and-outs of rebuilding a computer yet, so I don’t want to mess with that. I’m on a shoe-string budget and need something nice, affordable, and working.

The nice weather is upon us which means that I’ll be outside a lot with my (almost) 4 year old and my new grandson. I’ll be able to spend time with them in the sunshine, enjoy my yard, and still get my work done. It will be perfect for me. The price can’t be beat either- which means my husband can’t complain that I have too many computers or that I’ve spent too much money. What else can I say except that I guess I’ve made my decision.
