Hot Vegas
A family member sent me a link about some hotels in Las Vegas catching fire. She mentioned that she’s going to be vacationing there in the spring and was a little freaked about the whole thing.
I heard about this last week when Channel 19 in Cleveland broke into my program to tell me about it. At the time I wondered why I it was news and was more than a little irate about it. Now, of course, I’m glad that no one died- that we know of. When I got the email, the first thought I had was “wouldn’t this make a great episode for CSI?”
Reports are saying that the fire may have been caused by welders working on the roof. This makes sense. But how much more interesting would it have been if some mobsters were up there trying to get some information from someone with a blow torch? And then something went horribly wrong, causing a massive fire and bringing in the CSI team? That would be perfect.
That was before I remembered that CSI isn’t what it used to be and there was no way they would investigate the fire in the daylight without their little flashlights. Then I got irritated again and cursed NBC for canceling “Journeyman”. WTF? Of course, seeing “Parking Wars” advertised didn’t help my mood. Did you see that? A&E has a camera following meter readers in the city. Yippee! The fun! Anyway, my idea for a good story could possibly see fruition on the set of CSI, but what good would it be without light? Even my new HDTV does nothing for the show.
Did I mention I’m bored?
