First Plus-Sized “Top Model”
Whitney Thompson has made TV history- sort of. She is the first ever Plus-size winner of “America’s Next Top Model”. The 20 year-old Floridian student says that she hopes to be a role model for younger girls struggling with their own body image issues.

The show’s star, Tyra Banks, who stands 5 ft. 10 in., was once considered hefty at just 130lbs. Now the superstar weighs in at an “astounding” 160lbs and is an advocate for curvy beauty and letting girls feel good about the way they look. She proves that curvaceous doesn’t necessarily mean “ugly”.
Whitney has won a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl and a spread in Seventeen magazine. The stunning brunette-turned-blonde Ms. Thompson will no doubt see her career go until she’s one day sell America’s next top wrinkle cream in her 40’s.
