Dog Signs Work For Me
Recently I was looking for signs to put on my fence. I have a huge dog. He’s a yellow labradoodle and weighs about 80 pounds. But he’s incredibly friendly- which is the problem. I don’t want the whole neighborhood to know that he’s gentle. I’d love for them to be too afraid to come in our yard. At any rate, I found a site with awesome beware of dog signs. They’re not those huge black ones with orange lettering- so not obnoxious - and actually come in some eye pleasing colors. They come in chocolate brown, grass green, and cobalt blue and say either “Dogs in Yard” or “Dog in Yard”. I chose the chocolate brown with hardware designed for a wood fence (four brass screws). If I had a wire fence, I would have gotten wire to hang it. One sign costs $16.95 and shipping is free. They don’t require you to pay right away (and, in fact, don’t accept credit cards) which was pretty awesome. That way there’s no hassle of getting a defective product, stopping payment, paying for shipping…etc. You get your sign, it’s in good condition and then send off the check (they call this their “Good Karma Policy”).
As you can see in the picture above, I received mine in excellent condition. It looks really nice too. I put it on the gate leading into my yard. There was an incident not long ago that included kids rummaging through unlocked cars. They came in our yard (didn’t get anything because, duh, we lock our car) and left a bit of a mess with the gate. We fixed it and are hoping the next time the little boogers decide to help themselves to whatever they can find they are deterred by the sign.
If not, well, I guess we can get a Rottweiler.
