CSI back
“CSI” is back in action. I’ve missed las vegas and the crime fighting squad. Their season premiere showed Warrick Brown getting killed which made it a very emotional episode. Sara Sidle came back for one or two episodes and Grissom just looked like he was ready to hang his hat.
I prefer the Las Vegas based “CSI” to the others. “CSI: New York” has always been on Wednesdays, so it was running against “Law&Order”. No way I was missing L&O. And “CSI: Miami” has David Caruso and his dramatic pulling-off of the sunglasses. That gets on my nerves worse than seeing the coroner with her hair swinging all over the dead bodies (did I mention I’m a huge fan of “Dr. G: Medical Examiner”?). I’m sure both of the spin-off shows have something special about them. But neither of them can catch my interest the way the original has.
I just wish that someone would turn the lights on in their lab. Who does criminal investigation in a dark lab? Or a dark morgue? It’s annoying. It wasn’t always like that- not until ‘Miami’ came on the scene. But I wish they’d stop it. And stop it with those idiotic flash lights.
At any rate, Grissom and Sidle will be leaving soon and some new characters will pop up in their place. I’m anxious to see who they are. Grissom is one of my absolute favorite television characters (never cared much for Sara) and I’ll be happy to see him go. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that we don’t end up with another Horatio Cane. That would mean the end of “CSI” for me and I’d be lost.
