Copy, Paste, and Voila!

Today I spent a decent amount of time editing some photos in Photoshop. I love my PSP and must say that I’m getting darned good at doing up the images. At any rate, I did a few of Pee Wee and Mags that are especially nice and I wanted to make them into a calendar.

By the way, I have no intentions of printing those babies myself. Paying for the prints and using Snapfish coupons is so much cheaper than ink.

So, I there I was considering how I was going to design this thing when I realized that I’ve got a little bit of a creative streak! Ok, I already knew that to a certain extent. I like to fancy myself an able writer and have just finished my very first knitting project. But I never realized how much I love to work with these images. I realized that I’m pretty good at it. Then I realized it that I could quite possibly make some money with it. Not online, of course. There are way better artists/photographers/editors than I. But in my hometown?

My sister was amazed when the photographer that did my niece’s softball pictures Photoshopped my niece into the team picture (the niece missed picture day). Her amazement amazed me. I’ve been taking pictures of Pee Wee and photoshopping her into strange places for a while now (it’s a running gag and I never save the images- too bad). As a matter of fact, one of the very first things I learned when I installed this wonderous program was how to cut & paste. Here is a perfect opportunity for me! This could prove to be unbelievably lucrative. I could take what I’ve learned and do this for relatives and friends for a small fee. Then ship the images off to Snapfish or somewhere similar (until I become the town celeb du jour, in which case I would pay for some ink) and voila!

And here I thought all that talk about “do what you love” and “find the niche you love” was all garbage. Shows how much I know.

It is so pleasant to know you can do things others can’t, -a precious feeling by itself already. And if you’d be able to make money from it - you’re twice a happy person:)

(am feverishly thinking of how to make money from things that I love:)))
